"The Preserving Bowl is inspired by an ancient glass goblet of Egyptian or Syrian origin, dated to the late 13th or early 14th century, on display at the New York Metropolitan Museum of Art.

There are red and green floral motifs on the Koruyan Bowl, which is decorated with very fine gold workmanship and rumi motifs, and there are rumi patterns with cobalt borders in the medallions. Eagle figures in three rows of cobalt-bordered medallions on the body and foot symbolize the "guardian spirit".
