"The Queen of Carchemish The pattern on the vase is taken from the stone relief of the Goddess Kubaba, dated to the 9th century BC and found in Carchemish. On the stone relief, the Goddess Kubaba is depicted standing and holding a pomegranate, the symbol of fertility. At the beginning of the 1st millennium BC, he was the chief goddess of the city of Carchemish and as Carchemish gained political power, he became prominent in the late Hittite cult as the "Queen of Carchemish". The stone relief is exhibited today at the Ankara Anatolian Civilizations Museum.
